Spring Community Students
SC Student Ministry
Worship / Sunday Mornings / 9:00 & 11:00 am
It is important for our students to not be isolated away from the rest of our church community. Our Sunday morning worship services are our primary opportunity to gather as a united church body in worship and celebration of our infinite God.
SCC Tweens / Sunday Evenings / 4:00 - 5:30 pm
Nearly every Sunday evening during the school year we seek to grow together in Christ. One of our ministry’s commitments is authenticity. In the same way that the Lord’s table is welcome to ALL, we welcome ALL tweens (ages 10-12) to come, be themselves, and watch for what God might do. Make sure you’re signed up for our Remind (text) updates (see below) so you know about special occasions.

Confirmation
Annually or Bi-Annually depending on need // Fall-Spring
Confirmation is where students learn the principles of the Christian faith and begin to consider their role as mature followers of Jesus Christ. Confirmation is taught as a series of classes for youth 6th – 8th grade. During these classes, students build community and explore topics such as prayer, the nature of God, discipleship, what it means to be a Methodist Christian, the church, the Sacraments, worship, mission and service, etc. When they have made the choice to own their personal faith, confirmands are presented before the church and commit to the service and love of God. This is a time of affirmation and celebration for all confirmands and their families, and the entire church.
U.M. ARMY
An Annual Summer Event
U.M. ARMY – Texas Conference is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The acronym stands for “United Methodist Action Reach-Out Mission by Youth.” Every Summer, U.M. ARMY organizes more than forty work camps throughout East and Southeast Texas with over 3,500 6th -12th youth and adults. The mission is two-fold, to serve people in need, and provide young people an opportunity to mature in their faith-walk and life skills through Christian service. Using a local Methodist church as a base camp, U.M. ARMY participants spend the week providing free home repairs for low-income, elderly, and disabled homeowners in the community.
Cub Scouts
Our mission is to provide the youth of the Spring community the opportunity to grow and learn, to build strong character and moral principles, to develop leadership skills and confidence, and to understand what it means to be a contributing member of the community. Service to others is a large component of the Scouting ministry and we always have FUN!
Cub Scout Pack 1565
Cub Scouts is for boys and girls, 5-11 years old. Pack 1565 was chartered in 1980 and has operated continuously for over 35 years. Cub Scouting is family oriented and community based – whole families are welcome to attend and participate. Activities, events, and community service projects are generally local.
