Throughout the year, we offer opportunities to serve our “adopted” schools. This includes things like STAAR test bags, Teacher Appreciation, Angel Tree, Book Fairs, and more.
The Door provides temporary shelter for women and children in crisis situations. We participate in their ministries through item collection, food donation, and sending volunteers. The Door trains volunteers once a quarter.
With the help of a large number of community organizations, Spring Community Church distributes boxes of food to those in need in our neighborhood the Sunday before Thanksgiving each year. The food boxes are meant to help families, whose children are home from school for the week, put food on their tables with less stress.
The Coupon Clippers cut coupons to benefit the families of service men and women, many of whom are stationed overseas. They meet every Monday at 9:00 AM at the Timber Lane Utility District Meeting Building located at 2615 Ciderwood Drive.
6th-12th grade students and adults from Spring Community Church attend UM ARMY every summer and spend a week providing free home repairs for low-income, elderly, and disabled homeowners in the community. The acronym stands for “United Methodist Action Reach-Out Mission by Youth.” The mission is two-fold, to serve people in need, and provide young people an opportunity to mature in their faith-walk and life skills through Christian service.

Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM) is a nonprofit, community-based, multi-program social service agency that strives to meet basic human needs through Neighbors Helping Neighbors. NAM provides assistance in areas including food, shelter, health, education, safety and financial education.
reVision works to break the cycle of isolation among the most profoundly disconnected youth, most of whom are caught up in the juvenile justice system. By connecting one kid at a time to caring adults, positive peers and a program that works, we offer disconnected youth the opportunity to revision hopeful pathways. Everyone is transformed in this work: kids, mentors, and communities.
